Papa Murphs Main Home Page
This is the main home page for Papa Murphs Tavern and Primitive campground. Remember, we have carry out service as well as firewood, ice, pool tables, food and more! Come on in and take a look around. Pay some video games or relax while playing some pool.

Campground Information Page
Our campground is located behind the bar and is less than 1 mile from Starved Rock Sate Park, Next door to Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort & Indoor Water Park as well as many other attractions. Plus, if you want to sit by your campfire and have a beer, we are the only campground in the area that allows alcohol! Run out of beer? Come on in the tavern and buy some more.

Meet Papa Murph Himself
Papa Murph runs the action at night. We let him believe he's the boss but we all know Virg is the head honcho around here. She works the day shift and teaches karate at night for women. Murph splits all the firewood during the day and then cleans it. Our Chicago visitors like clean wood for some reason. Anyway, the customer is always right!

Since they have done such a wonderful job with their directions page, I found it difficult to improve. Besides, we are so close to Starved Rock Lodge and next door to Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort that if you can find them, you can find us!
